USE

Bund for temporary outdoor storage of medium and large transformers.

REMINDER / REGULATION

Given the current regulations on environmental protection, it is stipulated that most liquid dielectrics are not allowed to penetrate the natural environment, which, in practice, requires the use of a self-contained retention bund.
For all questions regarding the use of a bund, refer to Decree 77-254 dated 08/03/1977 (Water Law), to Decree 79-981 dated 21/11/1979 (Law on the recuperation of waste oil), to Decree 2001-63 dated 18/01/2001 (Law on the elimination of PCBs), to ADR 2009 (road transportation), as well as NF 17-300 (fire safety).

DESIGN

Factory prefabricated bund specially designed for containment of dielectric oils.
These bunds are all made to measure. Each bund is made up of a metallic structure in pre-stressed aluminium profile on which a reinforced sheet is high resistance welded; this geo-membrane is designed to resist to exterior aggressions (UV, rain) as well as numerous chemical substances (acids, alkali conpounds, petroleum products, oils and lubricants).
The BSTP comes with geotextile sheets to be placed under the bund to limit the ground roughness and in the bund to receive materials.
Each bund has an emptying valve as well as a safety siphon to drain the rainwater overflow.
To continuously evacuate this drainage water, the FILTRELEC® system can be installed around the tank via additional valves.

- Load spreading plates and concrete support beams
- FILTRELEC®: filtration system cartridge installed on the emptying valve to allow evacuation of rainwater while trapping traces of hydrocarbons.

INSTALLATION

For large sizes, a preliminary visit is indispensible.
The installation of the bund and its accessories is then carried out by one of our specialised teams, except for the handling of the transformer
