USE
Bund designed for trucking of 100 kVA to 2000 kVA transformers containing PCBs.
REMINDER / REGULATION
Given the current regulations on environmental protection, it is stipulated that most liquid dielectrics are not allowed to penetrate the natural environment, which, in practice, often requires the use of a self-contained retention bund.
For all questions regarding the use of a bund, refer to Decree 77-254 dated 08/03/1977 (Water Law), to Decree 79-981 dated 21/11/1979 (Law on the recuperation of waste oil), to Decree 2001-63 dated 18/01/2001 (Law on the elimination of PCBs), to ADR 2009 (road transportation), as well as NF 17-300 (fire safety).
ADR 2009 : § P906
- Metallic bund for complete dielectric containment + 25%
- Height > 800 mm
- Sufficient absorbent material for 110% of the oil being transported
- Special training for driver.
DESIGN
Hot galvanised sheet metal for greater longevity. Can also be made of stainless steel.
Lifting accessories for handling when empty.
Can be handled by fork-lift truck.
Tested sealing: Individually tested through the ARDROX 996 PC dye penetrant test procedure, approved by the APAVE.

- Emptying lead valve closed with plug and safety chain
- Galvanised elevating grating
- Truck fixing bars
- Cover with PVC tarpaulin
INSTALLATION
The transformer is placed in the bund located on the ground, off the truck, and lifted by a crane.
The bund is secured around the transformer using a system of straps (supplied), the entire structure is then fastened to the truck.
Handling is done using the lifting rings on the transformer and not lifting the bund.
In case of rain, a tarpaulin may be installed for transportation and outdoor storage.
