MX® product line
USE
This fire extinguishing system is designed to equip substation pits for 63 kV to 400 kV transformers and can be adapted to all medium and large-sized tanks.
In some very specific cases, an MX will avoid the use of a remote pit.
The fire extinguishing system allows very quick flow of the dielectric liquid into the pit as well as natural extinguishing of the flames without having to use old-fashioned pebble beds over grating.
REMINDER / REGULATION
Given the current regulations on environmental protection, it is stipulated that most liquid dielectrics are not allowed to penetrate the natural environment, which, in practice, often requires the use of a self-contained retention bund.
For all questions regarding the use of a bund, refer to Decree 77-254 dated 08/03/1977 (Water Law), to Decree 79-981 dated 21/11/1979 (Law on the recuperation of waste oil), to Decree 2001-63 dated 18/01/2001 (Law on the elimination of PCBs), to ADR 2009 (road transportation), as well as NF 17-300 (fire safety).
UTILIZATION
MX systems are made to measure and can be adapted to any transformer pit.
DESIGN
Hot galvanised frame.
Extinguishing baffles made of galvanised sheet metal that can support the weight of an operator.
Grounding system by copper or stainless steel terminal.
Fire extinguishing system ensured by baffles in galvanised sheet metal, assembled in the factory.
Galvanised grating covering the baffles so the employees can walk on it.
INSTALLATION
The MX fire extinguishing system is delivered READY TO INSTALL.
Delivered with assembly instructions and absorbent wipes, the MX fire extinguishing system is set up on the top of the supporting HEA beams and angle irons previously installed.
This equipment must be installed by an Akhelec team or a team accredited by Akhelec. AKHELEC offers complete installation service based on a package price; upon completion, the customer receives an Authorisation for Use.
To begin manufacturing, civil engineering plans must be supplied; we can carry out an onsite survey, on previous estimate. This amount will be reimbursed if the installation of the MX system is done by us.
