USE
Self-contained retention bunds for dielectric liquids for 160 to 1600 kVA transformers.
REMINDER / REGULATION
Given the current regulations on environmental protection, it is stipulated that most liquid dielectrics are not allowed to penetrate the natural environment, which, in practice, often requires the use of a self-contained retention bund.
For all questions regarding the use of a bund, refer to Decree 77-254 dated 08/03/1977 (Water Law), to Decree 79-981 dated 21/11/1979 (Law on the recuperation of waste oil), to Decree 2001-63 dated 18/01/2001 (Law on the elimination of PCBs), to ADR 2009 (road transportation), and NF 17-300 (fire safety).
PURPOSE
At a lesser cost, rapidly obtain a containment area in compliance with the current regulations on soil contamination.
Advantages: light, easy to fold and to transport.
Delivered with a protective plate and vibration absorbers.
DESIGN
These prefabricated, patented bunds specially designed for dielectric oil are made up of a reinforced sheet, highly resistant to chemicals, acids, petroleum substances, etc.
Assembled using high frequency welding and stretched over a wooden structure for the small sizes (metallic for large), the PVC geomembrane, coated by induction, strongly resists to UV rays and makes this product an ideal solution for both small and large areas for outdoor storage.
CHARACTERISTICS
These bunds are made of exceptional quality materials verified over time and are manufactured without any welds in contact with liquid. The PVC sheet is insulated, and it is highly resistant to tearing, to UV rays, to abrasion and in addition, the bunds do not require any specific upkeep.
Optional :
- Emptying valve and siphon for outdoor storage
- FILTRELEC: filtration system which allows rainwater to drain while trapping traces of hydrocarbons.
INSTALLATION
Open and unfolded, flexible bunds can be slid under the transformer that only needs to be raised a few millimetres.
For larger size bunds load-distributing plates made of marine timber, metal, or concrete ground beams can be laid in the bund. For these specific applications please contact us.
