Hydrocarbon absorbents
USE
On the ground or at the bottom of the bunds, hydrocarbon absorbent wipes efficiently capture accidental hydrocarbon spills.
Absorbent wipes are used to protect the workspace, station or shop or to protect the bottom of our bunds. Their hydrophobic characteristics mean that even in a bund filled with water, the wipes float on the surface, absorbing the hydrocarbons and are easy to retrieve and replace.
Absorbent rolls are used more frequently in interventions or to absorb large quantities of hydrocarbons; they are mandatory during the transportation of transformers where "the quantity of absorbent material contained in the package must be sufficient to absorb at least 1.1 times the dielectric volume contained in the devices" (ADR2009 P.906).
Made of white pure, non-woven polypropylene, our products, in compliance with ASTM F726 standard, selectively absorb hydrocarbons. Because of their composition, the wipes and the rolls have a great absorption capacity.
The used absorbent wipes can be managed by your industrial waste recuperation and treatment system; polypropylene has a very high heat of combustion and can be reclaimed by combustion with an ash rate of less than 0.05%.
